I heard about Mariu at least six months ago. One day, while I was working on my blog at refeel café (in front of Mariu), I told myself, why I don’t go there for lunch. Mariu defined itself as a “kebbaberia gastronomica”. The main concept is about personalization : you can select the type of bread, meat and ingredients you want for composing your sandwich. From some talks, I knew the place was a kind of enhanced fast food and there was a specific process to follow. So when I entered there, I immediately started to look for instructions. A few words for the launch

People living in Milan or coming for visit from time to time, this is my new website. Spending hours in researching new food experiences & enjoyable restaurants, my friends were often asking me the list of my favourite places. So among all the places I have experimented, I selected the places where I feel to come back again. I skipped the places where the service was unlikable, the places where you eat well but not enough compared to the money you spend, and last, the places were the flavours were experimentally too strong (I will never eat tobacco ice cream ever ever again I can tell you). I went to MAM Opening

Yesterday, while I was heading to Porta Romana to do aperitivo, I passed for the second time in front of this new place that look quite appealing from the outside. As the place we wanted to go was closed, we decided to enter to have aperitivo there. The place is a bit like a old house that has not been fixed yet and the design elements fill the place to give a cosy atmosphere. The tables, chairs and lights are not coordinated, the table are big enough to be transformed in social table. It reminded me a bit cascina cuccagna interior. We enter and got nicely welcome even if they look a bit overhwelmed. Talking with the waiter, we discovered it was their first night. The concept is about vegan

I went to the first EAT MARKET in town

Ventura Lambrate has became an important design district over the years during fuori salone. But apart that, this is an area that is not really frequented. Recently was launched the EAST market which takes place punctually on sundays and sell all sort of vintage pieces. A few weeks ago, a new event pop out on facebook : the first flea eat market. I was wondering how it could be. I decided to go there for lunch with a friend on sunday. When we passed the gate,we could not distinguish anything related to food, the courtyard was full of alternative people.
